KOHLER, Wis. -- Western Michigan junior golfer
Megha Vallabhaneni finished in seventh place at the 2025 PGA WORKS Individual Championship this week at the famed Whistling Straits Golf Course.
Vallabhaneni, who was has been consistently WMU's top finisher over the past two seasons, opened the tournament with an 80 on Monday. She gained a lot of ground during Tuesday's second round after shooting a 71, including six birdies. She finished things off on Wednesday with another round of 80 and a 54-hole total of 231 (+15).
For the tournament she made eight birdies and 26 pars. Vallabhaneni was just two strokes out of a top-five finish.
Hyunji Kim from the University of Delaware and Miu Takahashi from the University of Nebraska tied for the top finish, with Kim winning in a one-hole playoff.
