KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Western Michigan men's basketball assistant coach
Manny Dosanjh has been accepted to attend the 2025 NCAA Basketball Coaches Academy, which is set to run from May 7-9 in Indianapolis. Dosanjh, who recently finished his third year with the Broncos, is one of 45 coaches nationwide who was selected to participate in this year's clinic.
"Any time you're able to get selected among a group of coaches to learn and grow, you feel grateful," Dosanjh said. "I look forward to a few days in Indiana and bringing back anything I can to continue enhancing our program."
The NCAA Basketball Coaches Academy provides current men's and women's basketball coaches at NCAA member institutions an opportunity to expand their knowledge and insight into the world of intercollegiate basketball coaching. During the academy, selected participants will be trained in a variety of areas that encourage effective coaching at the intercollegiate level, with a focus on the holistic well-being and development of student-athletes.
At the academy, Dosanjh will engage with industry experts and peers across a wide variety of topics designed to enhance coaches' abilities to serve as effective coaches and leaders of student-athletes both on and off the court. Featuring renowned speakers from both the collegiate and professional basketball space, topics include effective communication with campus and community constituents, the importance of building a culture of excellence focused on the overall success of student-athletes, winning the head coaching interview, becoming a CEO of your program, on-the-floor coaching strategies and managing yourself personally throughout the rigors associated with life as a coach.
