BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- Three Western Michigan golfers finished in the Top 20, led by junior
Megha Vallabhaneni's sixth place finish, as the Broncos wrapped up the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational at Stone Ridge Golf Club on Sunday afternoon.
Vallabhaneni shot a final round of 73 (+2) to finish in a three-way tie for sixth with a 36-hole score of 149 (+7)and just two strokes out of third place. Ally Barth and
Lauren Lupinek both tied for 16th with final scores of 155 (+3).
Bella Brooks was WMU's fourth-highest finisher, shooting a 157 (+15), while freshman
Saanvi Venkatesh rounded out WMU's lineup with a 162 (+20).
The group combined to shoot a second round of 310, finishing in fifth place with a 614 (+46). The host Falcons were the team champions, while Central Michigan's Ella Zanatta was the individual medalist.
Western Michigan is back in action on Saturday at the Therese Hession Buckeye Invitational at Ohio State Golf Club's Scarlet Course. The tournament runs through Sunday and is WMU's final action before the 2025 MAC Championship, hosted by Ball State April 20-22 at the Deleware County Club.
