LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Mabinty Kebe posted a top-10 time in program history in the 400-meter hurdles to headline a strong weekend at the Clark Wood Open.
Kebe moved into eighth all-time in the event, notching a time of 58.33. She previously held the ninth best time in school history.
Angel Pratt also shined in the event, earning a PR time of 1:01.07.
Jade Celestine was right behind her with a time of 1:05.91.
Sandra Ferrari also had a great weekend, starting with a leap of 6.16 meters in the long jump. That was a season-best mark for her.
Anichka Malachi was also great in the long jump, finishing with a mark of 5.23 meters. She had a jump of 11.86 meters in the triple jump as well. Ferrari then competed in the 100-meter hurdles, collecting a time of 13.64 to finish fourth. Kebe had a time of 13.98, while Celestine clocked in at 14.63.
In the 100-meter dash, Pratt and
Laurie-Ann Desormes were strong. They notched times of 12.07 and 12.32, respectively.
Soniya Jones was then able to collect a time of 25.14 in the 200-meter dash. To round out the running events, WMU's quartet of Ferrari, Pratt, Desormes and Jones was able to post a season-best 4x100 relay time of 46.59.
Throws wise,
Tess Van Dyk and
Lane Hagens were in action for the Brown and Gold. They were both strong in the shot put, as Hagens collected a mark of 14.21 meters, while Van Dyk finished with a throw of 13.13 meters. In the discus, Hagens recorded a throw of 37.12 meters.
