KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The NCAA announced its list of regional qualifiers this afternoon, with the East Regional Preliminaries list being headlined by four Broncos.

Sandra Ferrari, Mabinty Kebe, Ava Kurczewski and Laurine Elisa Marimon will head to Lexington, Ky. to compete against the best in the East Region, looking for a spot at the NCAA Championship meet in Oregon. Ferrari and Kebe competed in the East Regional meet last season. 

Ferrari will compete in the long jump for the third consecutive season, finishing top 30 in the region each of the last two years. She enters this year's competition with a top mark of 6.27 meters. She is fresh off of a third-place finish in the event at the MAC Championships this past weekend and ranks No. 27 in the region. 

Kebe is also making her third straight appearance in the NCAA East Preliminaries, as she's set to compete in the 400-meter hurdles. She claimed 24th in the region last season and enters this year with the 21st best time (57.66). Kebe won the 400-meter hurdles MAC Championship at Ball State just a few days ago. 

Kurczewski will be making her first regional appearance, qualifying in the 3K steeplechase. Kurczewski earned her way by winning the MAC Championship in the event with a time of 10:08.12. That is good for second in school history and ranks 33rd in the East Region. 

Marimon is also making her first regional appearance, securing her spot in the triple jump. Marimon won the triple jump MAC Championship a few days ago at Ball State with a season-high mark of 13.16 meters. She is the school's record holder in the event, and her top jump sits at No. 16 in the region. 

Kebe and Ferrari will compete on Thursday, May 28 at the University of Kentucky, while Kurczewski and Marimon will compete on Saturday, May 30. Should Kebe advance to the NCAA Quarterfinal round, she will also compete on Saturday. For all the latest information, visit WMUBroncos.com or NCAA.com.
