KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Mid-American Conference announced the 2026 Outdoor Track & Field Academic All-MAC Team, celebrating the achievements of student-athletes who have excelled both in competition and in the classroom. The list was highlighted by 17 Western Michigan student-athletes.

The Academic All-MAC distinction honors student-athletes who demonstrate outstanding dedication to both their academic and athletic pursuits. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.20 and participate in at least 50% of their team's competitions during the season. First-year students and any transfer in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.

Jade Celestine (Criminal Justice), Madison Clor (Biomedical Sciences), Laurie-Ann Desormes (Marketing), Sandra Ferrari (Food Marketing), Lane Hagens (Psychology), Mabinty Kebe (Mindfulness and Centering Skills), Ava Kurczewski (Exercise Science), Lara Machado Pereira (Biomedical Sciences), Anichka Malachi (Computer Science), Larissa McGrath (Biomedical Sciences), Katie Nichols (Pre-Physical and Health Ed Teacher: K-12), Lily Overton (Exercise Science), Lauren Sancrant (Strategic Communications: Public Relations), Tess Van Dyk (Exercise Science), Layla Wallace (Food and Consumer Marketing), Madison Zarembski (Elementary Education), Lillian Zelasko (Political Science) were the WMU honorees.
