OLD HICKORY, Tenn. -- The Western Michigan golf team wrapped up the first two rounds of The Nashville Invitational at The Hermitage on Monday, with junior
Megha Vallabhaneni tied for ninth overall.
The Broncos sit in 11th place after opening with a 312 and finishing off the day with a 308 for a 620 (+44).
Vallabhaneni opened the day with a 73 (+1) and closed it out with a 74 (+2) for a 147 (+3). She finished the first two rounds with four birdies and 25 pars. She sits just two shouts from fifth place and four from first place.
Lauren Lupinek was WMU's second finisher on the day. She sits tied for 32nd with a 153 (+9). Lupinek opened with a 78 and cut three strokes off that in the second round with a 75.
Bella Brooks sits just two shots behind Lupinek with a 155.
Jenna Hayes shot an 84 in the opening round and an 81 in the second round, while freshman Saanvi Venkatish finished off WMU's five with a 170.
The Broncos are back in action to close out the tournament on Tuesday.
