NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Western Michigan golf team is down in Tennessee for the Nashville Invitational, hosted by Lipscomb at The Hermitage Golf Course beginning on Monday.
The 16-team field features the Broncos, host Bisons, Austin Peay, Belmont, Butler, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Eastern Washington, Houston Christian, Iowa, Jacksonville, Longwood, Morehead State, North Alabama, Tennessee State and Washington State.
The tournament will be held on The Hermitage's President's Reserve course, which measures out to 6,210 yards. The teams will play two rounds on Monday and the final round on Tuesday.
Western Michigan was last in action back on March 10-11, repeating as champions of the Butler Don Benbow Spring Break Invitational. The Broncos combined to finish the 36-hole tournament with a score of 626 (+50). Junior
Megha Vallabhaneni was the top individual finisher with a 155 (+11), tying fifth place. This week, WMU will field a team featuring Vallabhaneni,
Lauren Lupinek, Isabella Brooks,
Saanvi Venkatesh and
Jenna Hayes.
Kailey White will play as an individual.
Western Michigan then heads to Bowling Green for the annual Dolores Black Falcon Invitational April 5-6.
