RIO VERDE, Ariz. -- The Western Michigan golf team wrapped up hosting round two of the 22nd Annual Rio Verde Invitational on Saturday.
Junior
Megha Vallabhaneni matched her score of 75 (+3) from round one and finished the day as the top Bronco on the leader board, sitting in 29th place. The Broncos combined to shoot a 310 and sit in a three-way tie for 1th with Butler and Loyola-Chicago. WMU is just eight strokes outside of the top 10.
Xavier shot a 284 to leapfrog reigning champions Cal Baptist and take a three-stroke lead into Sunday's final round. XU's Isabela Bronza shot a 68 to move into first place, with a 36-hole total of 138 (-6) and lead's Illinois State's Jinyoung Yun by two strokes.
Freshman
Lauren Lupinek also matched her total from round one, shooting a 77 for a 154 (+10) heading into Sunday. Junior
Jenna Hayes shot a 78, shaving a stroke off of her first round score. Sophomore
Bella Brooks shot an 80 and freshman
Macy Beeson shot an 84 to round out WMU's five.

Saanvi Venkatesh shot a 77 for the top score in round two among WMU's "B" team.
The final round of the Rio Verde Invitational begins on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. ET/10:30 a.m. MT.
