Broncos Ranked No. 7

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Following a win over No. 12 Boston College, the Western Michigan hockey team was able to maintain its spot in the national polls.

The Broncos remained at No. 7 in the USCHO poll, while rising one spot to No. 7 in the USA Hockey rankings. Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State, North Dakota and Minnesota Duluth were the top-five teams in both polls. 

The Brown and Gold were joined in the polls by several other NCHC teams, including UND, UMD and Denver. Colorado College, Arizona State, St. Cloud State and Miami were receiving votes. Omaha was the lone conference team not recognized in the national rankings. 

WMU will play for the Kwik Trip Holiday Face-Off Championship on Monday night at Fiserv Forum. The Broncos will take on Wisconsin, with puck drop slated for 8:30 PM ET.
