KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team heads on the road to battle Wisconsin on at 6:30 p.m. and then Drake on Saturday at 1 p.m. Both matches will be at UW's Nielsen Tennis Stadium.
 
LAST WEEK
WMU (5-2) hosted Grand Valley State for a double-header last Friday and picked up two wins over the Lakers. The Broncos opened the morning with a 7-0 win over GVSU, following it up with a 5-2 victory later in the afternoon.
 
With the pair of wins, Western Michigan improved to 4-0 at home so far this season.
 
SCOUTING THE BADGERS
UW heads into Friday's match with a 2-1 record with wins over DePaul (7-0) and SMU (5-2). The lone loss was a tight one against Princeton, 4-3. All of UW's Spring dual matches have been at home.
 
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Drake heads into the weekend with a record of 2-2. DU opened the spring with a 7-0 loss at Nebraska before rebounding with a 4-1 win over Saint Louis.
 
PULLING THEIR WEIGHT
Of the 29 individual wins coming in dual match singles play, 11 of them have come from freshmen Alex Antonopoulos, Oscar Corwin and Jack Davison. Antonopoulos has three of the wins, while Corwin and Davison each have four.
 
The trio have also been a part of WMU's top three doubles teams. Antonopoulos has paired up with Anton Arzhankin and is 4-0. Davison has played with Brogan Pierce and is 4-2, while Corwin has played with Ashton Adesoro and is 3-2.
 
ON THE ROAD AGAIN
The Broncos are back on the road next weekend, heading to Purdue on Friday and Illinois State on Sunday. WMU is back home on Friday, Feb. 21 for a double-header against Butler and Purdue Northwest.
