AUSTIN, Texas – Western Michigan setter
Logan Case has been voted to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America® Second Team. Case becomes the first student-athlete in WMU volleyball history to be named an Academic All-American three years in a row.
On the court, Case had another outstanding season for the Broncos, leading the MAC and ranking second in NCAA Division I with 11.79 assists per set. Her 1,379 total assists were the fourth-most nationally. The Maineville, Ohio, native's performance led to numerous accolades along the way, including her fifth straight All-MAC First Team selection and fourth career AVCA All-Region honor.
In the MAC Tournament Championship Match against Ball State, Case handed out 43 assists and was named Tournament MVP for the second year in a row as the Brown and Gold clinched their second straight MAC Tournament title and second consecutive NCAA Tournament berth. In the second set of that contest, Case also became the league's all-time leader in career assists.
Case finished her career as Western Michigan and the Mid-American Conference's all-time assists leader with 6,476. Her 6,476 career helpers also rank as the fifth-most in NCAA Division I history.
After concluding her stellar five-year career as a Bronco, Case graduated from WMU in December as a French major with a 4.00 GPA.
