BYE BYE BYE
Western Michigan wraps up the regular season this week with a two-match series at Ohio. The Broncos and Bobcats come into the week separated by just one game in the race for the No. 2 seed and a bye in the MAC Tournament. WMU needs to win just one of the two contests in order to secure a bye to the semifinals of next week's tournament.

LAST TIME OUT
WMU is coming off of a sweep of Kent State in its final home games of the season last weekend, making it three victories in a row and eight in the last nine for the Broncos. Leah Richmond posted two more double-doubles, with Mary Clare Brusek's 4.33 kills per set on a .413 hitting percentage pacing the attack. The defense was anchored by Reeghan Boyer's 5.67 digs per set, which helped the senior become the fourth different Bronco to win a MAC Player of the Week award in 2025.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE MACHINE
Leah Richmond added two more double-doubles to her ledger over the weekend, making it six in a row and 23 overall this season. The redshirt freshman sits atop the conference in both total assists (1,081) and assists per set (9.92), with her total assists ranking second in all of NCAA Division I. In MAC play, Richmond has upped her assist numbers to a league-high 10.51 per set. She also enters the week ninth in the league in digs per set with 3.27.

Western Michigan leads the MAC in both total digs (1,925) and digs per set (17.34), with its total digs ranked third nationally and digs per set average eighth-best in the nation. Three Broncos rank in the top-10 in the league in digs per set, with Elana Erickson fifth (3.78), Leah Richmond ninth (3.27). and Reeghan Boyer 10th (3.14).

ACES UP HER SLEEVE
One of the top servers in the conference, Molly Brown leads the MAC in service aces per set (0.42) and her 43 total aces are second-most in the league and 23rd-most in NCAA Division I. Brown is averaging a league-best 0.47 aces per set in MAC play, with Maddie Kmetz ranked sixth at 0.35.

BRONCO BLOCK PARTY
The Broncos tied their season high with 16 blocks in Saturday's sweep of Kent State, led by eight apiece from Amanda Glanton and Leah Richmond. Glanton is the conference leader in both total blocks (96) and blocks per set (1.52) in MAC play.

SERIES HISTORY
Western Michigan owns a 37-26-1 all-time record against Ohio, and has won the lone meeting between the two teams each of the last two seasons. WMU's last trip to Athens came during its 18-0 run during the 2023 campaign, and the Broncos prevailed that night in five.
