KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Top Drawer Soccer released its weekly team of the week, with graduate student forward
Jen Blitchok headlining a list of great players. Blitchok was one of three forwards named to this week's national team.
The Grandville, Mich. native had a tremendous week on the pitch, tallying seven points on three goals and one assist. She did all of her work against Miami in a 6-0 win over the RedHawks on Sunday afternoon. In the game, Blitchok earned her first career hat trick while adding an assist on another goal.
Her seven points against Miami were the most in a single game in the MAC this season. She currently leads the conference in points (22) and goals (10) and is just three tallies off of the national leader. Additionally, Blitchok sits just two goals away from tying and three away from breaking the program's single-season record.
Blitchok and the Broncos will take on Buffalo on Thursday, September 26. WMU and Buffalo are both undefeated in conference play this season. The game is set for 4 PM at the WMU Soccer Complex.
