COLUMBUS, Ohio – The #9 Western Michigan men's soccer team will conclude its two-game road trip with a contest against Dayton University on Wednesday. The game originally scheduled for 7:00 PM in Dayton, Ohio, will now be played at Historic Crew Stadium (One Black and Gold Blvd.) in Columbus, Ohio, one hour earlier at 6:00 PM. Admission to the contest is free, and parking is $10 per vehicle. Fans are advised to enter through the East Entrance of the stadium. Due to the location change of the game, a live stream will not be available.
Scouting The Flyers
Dayton enters the contest with a 4-1 record after wins over Detroit Mercy, UNLV, SIUE, and Indiana. The Flyers, winners of three straight, have displayed a balanced attack offensively, with five players totaling at least five points this far in 2024. Dayton is led by junior midfielder Joseph Melto Quiah, who has seven points (two goals, three assists) this season.

The men's soccer team continued its historic unbeaten streak with a 1-1- tie to open Missouri Valley Conference play at Belmont University on Sunday. In the draw, redshirt junior

Landon Fisher in the 65th minute of the contest.
WMU's Unbeaten Streak
With the tie against Belmont, the Brown and Gold improved their phenomenal unbeaten streak to a 28th game without a loss on Sunday. The men's soccer team, with a 5-0-2 record thus far, are off to their best start to the regular season since 2017. Seven years ago, the Broncos opened their first seven games of the 2017 campaign with a 6-0-1 record.
Series History
Since 1994, the WMU men's soccer team is 6-1-2 against the Flyers behind a four-game win streak dating back to 2016. Last year, the Brown and Gold defeated Dayton 5-4 on September 10, behind a hat-trick from WMU alumni Charlie Sharp and goals from alumni Will Perkins and Dylan Sing.
