LEADING THE WAY
Jen Blitchok and
Abby Werthman have been dominant during the non-conference portion of the 2024 season.Â
Blitchok has been nearly unstoppable, as she's scored in all but one game this season. Her seven goals are the most in the league. She is third in the MAC with 15 points.Â
While Blitchok has been scoring the goals, Werthman has been one of the best passers in the league. She leads the team with six assists, which is tied for second in the conference.Â
SUNDAY FUN DAY
The Broncos haven't lost a game on Sunday in over a year, with their last defeat coming against Michigan on Sept. 10, 2023.Â
That stretch includes eight games with a record of 4-0-4, including a victory over Big East foe Marquette (3-0).Â
SCOUTING THE BLUE DEMONS
The Blue Demons hold a 2-1 advantage in the all-time series. However, the two teams haven't met since 2016. WMU's lone win against DePaul came back in 2004 (2-1).Â
The Blue Demons are riding a two-game winning streak entering play on Sunday, earning back-to-back wins against UIC and Lindenwood. Both of those games were shutouts.Â
Individually, Freya Jupp has been the go-to option, leading the team with four points on two goals. Mya Gardner and Schuyler Riese have chipped in one goal a piece.Â
In net, Elena Milam has started every game, boasting a 2-4-1 record, 1.45 goals against average and .688 save percentage.Â
