KALAMAZOO – Western Michigan golf's Alissa Fish, Jenna Hayes, Natalie Samdal, Megha Vallabhaneni and Kailey White have been named Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars for the 2023-24 season.
To be selected, a student-athlete must meet the following criteria: an overall cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher; be an amateur on the team's roster at the conclusion of the team's season; have played in 50 percent of the team's regularly schedule competitive rounds during the year.
Fish boasts a 3.88 GPA in Western Michigan's MBA Program through the Hayworth College of Business. Hayes has a 3.95 GPA in finance and was also recently honored with College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors. Vallabhaneni, who also earned CSC Academic All-District honors, has a 3.90 GPA in marketing, while White has a 3.88 in special education. Samdal earns the honors for the second time in her two years with WEstern Michigan, boasting a 3.80 GPA while working on a graduate degree in finance.
