KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The American Hockey Coaches Association released its list of Krampade All-American Scholars this afternoon, with
Jacob Bauer,
Cole Crusberg-Roseen and
Daniel Hilsendager headlining the list for Western Michigan.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 GPA for each semester, and had to appear in 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and back-up goaltenders.
Bauer concluded the year with a 3.97 cumulative GPA in Accountancy. He was awarded NCHC Distinguished Scholar Athlete status earlier this season. On the ice, he appeared in 27 games, dishing out four assists. He added 18 blocked shots.
Crusberg-Roseen finished the academic year with a perfect 4.00 GPA in Pre-Business Law. He was also a NCHC Distinguished Scholar Athlete. His rookie season on the ice was a good one, as he produced three points in 22 games. The blue liner was a +6 and blocked six shots.
Hilsendager wrapped up his college career with a 3.78 cumulative GPA in Accountancy. He was awarded NCHC Distinguished Scholar Athlete honors earlier this year. On the ice, he was able to tally eight points on one goal and seven assists. He had a +5 plus/minus and 23 blocked shots.
