KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team welcomes Ball State on Friday at 1 p.m. for its final home match of the season. The Broncos will celebrate their Senior Class prior to the start.
After splitting with Buffalo and Toledo last weekend, the Broncos now sit in a tie in second place with the Cardinals at 5-2. Northern Illinois, who WMU closes out the regular season with next Sunday, is in first place with a 5-1 record. NIU's lone loss was to Western Michigan in Kalamazoo.
One of WMU's two losses came at Ball State back on March 22.
So far this season, Western Michigan has only loss back-to-back matches once at Purdue against the Boilermakers and Denver. WMU has rebounded well after every other loss, including to the Pioneers. The Broncos beat Butler, 7-0, and began a 10-match winning streak.
Prior to the start of Friday's match, WMU will take time to honor its seniors

Benjamin George,
Brogan Pierce, and
Ferdinand Schlueter. Pierce has missed all action this season due to an injury and will return for the 2024-25 season, but wanted to participate with his classmates.
