CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference office announced the seedings and bracket for the 2024 MAC Men's Basketball Tournament following the conclusion of the regular season on Friday night. Western Michigan's victory over Akron in Friday night's regular season finale helped the Broncos claim the six seed for the tournament, earning them a quarterfinal matchup against No. 3 seed Ohio on Thursday, March 14, at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.  
 
Western Michigan is in the MAC Tournament for the first time since 2019-20, and has reached Cleveland for the first time since the 2016-17 campaign.
 
WMU and Ohio faced each other once during the regular season, with the Broncos coming out on top, 81-79, at University Arena on Jan. 13.
 
The men's tournament begins on Thursday, March 14, with four quarterfinal contests. WMU's matchup against Ohio is the fourth and final quarterfinal of the day, with the game set to tip roughly 30 minutes after the conclusion of the third quarterfinal between No. 2 seed Akron and No. 7 seed Miami.
 
The other side of the bracket sees top-seeded Toledo facing No. 8 seed Kent State at 11 am, followed by No. 4 Central Michigan against No. 5 Bowling Green. All of Thursday's quarterfinal contests will be streamed on ESPN+.
 
The winners of Thursday's quarterfinals advance to the semifinals on Friday, which will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network, starting at 5 pm. The Championship Game is set for Saturday at 7:30 pm on ESPN2.
