KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Western Michigan University Athletics announced on Thursday that tickets are now on sale for the 2024 WMU Baseball and Softball seasons. Tickets are general admission and vary in cost.
Tickets will be $7 for the general public, while seniors, children in eighth grade or younger, and groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets for $5. WMU students will be able to claim tickets through their Paciolan ticket account the same way they do for all other home sporting events.
Fans can purchase tickets on-site at the ticket booth located in the parking lot between Ebert Field and Robert J. Bobb Stadium at Hyames Field. Ticket sales will run through the top of the fifth inning for softball and the top of the seventh inning for baseball. On doubleheader game days, sales will run through the top of the second inning of the second game of the twin bill for both teams. All fans must have a ticket (digital or printed) to enter both venues.Â
At Ebert Field, fans can enter at the main gate off of the parking lot (Lot 102) or at the gate off of Oliver Hill. At Robert J. Bobb Stadium at Hyames Field, the main gate is off of the parking lot on the third base side of the stadium, with an additional gate located down the right field line.Â
First-year head coach
Marlee Wilson and the Bronco softball team are scheduled for 11 home games this season at Ebert Field, all of which will be against Mid-American Conference opponents. WMU's home opener is set for Friday, March 29, as it begins a three-game set against Akron. Western Michigan will have three-game series against the Zips (March 29-30), Central Michigan (April 6-7) and Toledo (April 26-27), with doubleheaders scheduled against NIU (April 16) and Bowling Green (April 30).
WMU baseball and head coach
Billy Gernon are set for 18 home games this spring, with the Home Opener scheduled for Friday, March 15, against Toledo. Western Michigan has five, three-game MAC series on its home slate, as Toledo (March 15-17), Kent State (March 28-30), Miami (April 12-14), Ball State (April 19-21) and NIU (May 10-12) are scheduled to come to Kalamazoo in league play. Additionally, the Broncos host non-conference tilts against Purdue Fort Wayne (March 26), Goshen (April 16) and Valparaiso (April 30).Â
