Men's Tennis Welcomes Buffalo and Toledo This Weekend

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team is set to host Buffalo on Friday and Toledo on Sunday as the Broncos begin their second trip around the Mid-American Conference.
 
Friday's match against the Bulls is scheduled for 2 p.m. and will be outdoors at Sorensen Courts. Sunday's match against the Rockets is at 1 p.m. and will also be outside at Sorensen Courts. Live scoring is available for both matches at www.wmustats.com.
 
LAST WEEK
Western Michigan went down to Ball State and suffered its first conference loss of the season, falling to the Cardinals 4-3. The loss snapped WMU's 10-match winning streak that dated back to Feb. 10.
 
HALFWAY THERE
The Broncos have reached the halfway point of the conference season and sit tied for first place with Northern Illinois with a 4-1 record. WMU holds the tie-breaker over the Huskies, thanks to a 5-2 win back on March 10.
 
Nipping at their heals is Ball State and Toledo, both with 3-2 records. MAC newcomers, UIC, is 1-4, while Buffalo is winless at 0-5.
 
HOME SWEET HOME
This weekend begins a three-match homestand for the Broncos. Western Michigan also welcomes Ball State next Friday at 1 p.m. The Broncos are 7-0 at home so far this season, including 2-0 in conference play.
 
In its home contests, Western Michigan has not allowed a team to score more than two points in a match.
