KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Western Michigan junior
Ashton Adesoro advanced to the Singles Flight A Semifinals to highlight the opening day of 2025 MAC Indoor Qualifying Event at West Hills Athletic Club on Friday.
Adesoro received a first round bye and the defeated Toledo's Hanamichi Carvajal 7-5, 6-3. He will play Eldin Nokic from UIC on Saturday for a chance to advance to Sunday's final and a bid for the ITA Conference Masters Tournament.

Jack Davison fell in the opening round of the Doubles Flight A opening round to UT's Carvajal and Poonthong Komolpisut 8-6. WMU's duo of
Tim Riedel and
Drew Evans earned a bye and will face Northern Illinois' Federico Scotuzzi and Lorenzo Messina on Saturday in the Quarterfinals.
In the Singles Flight B, sophomore
Alex Antonopoulos advanced to the Semifinals after a 6-3, 6-4 win over Buffalo's Onder Balci. Antonopoulos will play Toledo's Matias Olivero on Saturday.
Singles Flight C saw sophomore
Oscar Corwin earn a 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 1-0 (10-6) win over UB's Emiliano Jorquera. Corwin will play the Rockets' Sergio Alejandro Gonzalez in the Semifinals on Saturday.
Davison and freshman
Jonas Keck both advanced to the Semifinals of Singles Flight D. Davison defeated NIU's Pratyaksh LNU 4-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10-7), while Keck earned a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-4) decision against Zackary Kimelman from Ball State. Davison will take on Buffalo's Michael Malkin, with Keck battling Toledo's Cole Cozens on Saturday.
Evans and sophomore
Dimitri Moriarty both advanced in Singles Flight E. Moriarty beat NIU's Chiao Bo Suo Nan 6-3, 7-6 (7-3), while Evans defeated the Huskies' Sam Klein 1-6, 7-6 (7-3), 1-0 (10-4).
Over in the Doubles B Draw, Keck and Chen Hui Ho picked up an 8-5 win over LNU and Suo Nan andwill play Toledo's AJ Sidoti and Joshua Mackey. Antonopoulos and Corwin earned a bye and will play Cozens and Snow on Saturday.
