SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- The Western Michigan men's tennis doubles team of
Tim Riedel and
Drew Evans fell in the Quarterfinals of the ITA Conference Masters after advancing from the Round of 16 with a win earlier in the day on Friday.
After picking up a win in the Round of 32 on Thursday, the duo advanced to take on Dayton's Dylan Jaen and Mikkel Zinder early Friday afternoon. Evans and Riedel opened the match with a 6-4 win and then closed it out with a 6-1 win in the second set.
Later in the evening, Riedel and Evans were matched up against Karim Al-Amin and Ondrej Horak from Middle Tennessee State. WMU's duo was bested in two sets 6-3, 6-3.
The Broncos are now off until January.
