Golf Heads to Kentucky for Nevel Meade Invitational

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan golf team heads to Prospect, Ky., for the Nevel Meade Collegiate hosted by Cleveland State at the Nevel Meade Golf Club, beginning on Monday.
 
The Broncos will be up against the host Vikings, Bellarmine, Detroit Mercy, Evansville, UIC, Indiana State, Oakland, Purdue Fort Wayne and Youngstown State. The course is a par 72 and measures out to 5,953 yards.

Western Michigan is coming off of the program's first tournament win since 2019. The Broncos led from start to finish at the Butler Don Benbow Spring Break Invitational, wrapping up the 36-hole tournament with a 608 (+32). Sophomore Megha Vallabhaneni was WMU's top finisher, tying for third place after shooting a 151 (+7). With her performance she was named MAC Golfer of the Week for the first time in her career.
 
The Broncos have two more meets before the 2024 MAC Championship. WMU heads back to Kentucky for the Colonel Classic, hosted by Eastern Kentucky on April 1. Then it is on to Bowling Green for the annual Dolores Black Falcon Invitational April 6-7.
