Anton Arzhankin has been named the Mid-American Conference Men's Tennis Singles Player of the Week.
Arzhankin went 2-0 at No. 1 singles to help the Broncos open MAC play with wins over UIC and Northern Illinois. Against UIC he took down Randy Wilson 6-3, 6-2. In Sunday's win over the Huskies, he dispatched Cheng En Tsai 6-4, 6-0. Arzhankin has now won each of his last eight singles matches, going 5-0 at No. 1 and 3-0 at No. 2.
This is Arzhankin's second MAC Singles Player of the Week award this season.
The Broncos head on the road this weekend for the first time in conference play, squaring off at Buffalo on Friday and toledo on Sunday.
