Cameron Rowe Named NCHC Goaltender of the Week

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Thanks to a strong series to end the regular season, senior Cameron Rowe was named the National Collegiate Hockey Conference's Goaltender of the Week, the league announced this evening. This is Rowe's third weekly award of the season.  

Rowe was outstanding in a sweep of Miami, finishing the weekend with two wins to go along with a .933 save percentage, 1.50 goals against average and 42 total saves. He was the only NCHC goaltender with two victories this weekend. 

Rowe opened the series with an 18-save performance, including a 10-save third period to secure a 3-2 victory. The following night, Rowe was even better, stopping 24 shots. He made 14 saves in the third period, and the Broncos won 6-1. 

On the season, Rowe is 20-13-1 with a 2.30 goals against average, .910 save percentage and 785 total saves. He has started every game this year for the Brown and Gold. 

Rowe and the Broncos travel to St. Cloud State this weekend for the NCHC Quarterfinals. The opening game of the series is set for March 15 at the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center. Puck drop is slated for 8:30 PM ET.
