RIO VERDE, Ariz. – The Western Michigan golf team wrapped up hosting the second round of the Rio Verde Invitational on Saturday.
Graduate student
Natalie Samdal is WMU's top golfer through two rounds. She opened the tournament with a 72 on Friday and shot a 75 on Saturday for a 147 (+3). Samdal sits tied for 26th.
Alissa Fish shot a 79 for a two-round total of 150 (+6).
Megha Vallabhaneni saw a seven-shot improvement from her opening round and sits at 153 (+9).
Sophomore
Jenna Hayes sits at 160 (+16) after a 78, while
Kailey White wrapped up WMU's top five with an 82 for a 161 (+17).
WMU's "B" team's top finisher was
Isabella Brooks, who took eight shots off of her first round total for a 158 (+14).
The tournament concludes on Sunday.
