WASHINGTON, Utah – The Western Michigan women's golf team wrapped up the opening round of the Utah Tech Trailblazer Invitational at the Green Spring Golf Course on Sunday afternoon.
 
Graduate student Alissa Fish was the top individual finisher for the Broncos in the round. The Clarklake, Mich., native shot a 78 and sits tied for 18th at +6. Jenna Hayes finished just a stroke behind her, while Natalie Samdal and Megha Vallabhaneni each shot an 82 (+10). Kailey White rounded out WMU's top five with an 89. Freshman Macy Beeson is competing as an individual and opened the tournament with an 81 (+9).
 
As a team, the Broncos combined to shoot a 321 (+33) and sit in seventh place.
