KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan University softball team announced its schedule for the 2025 campaign, the second season under Head Coach Marlee Wilson. The Brown and Gold will play 53 games, including five series located at Ebert Field.
During their 2025 slate, WMU will participate in the Candrea Classic (Feb. 7-9), hosted by the University of Arizona, the Skyhawk Invitational (Feb.14-16) hosted by the University of Tennessee at Martin, the University of Evansville Tournament (Feb. 21-Feb. 22), and the T-Mobile Tournament (Feb. 28-Mar. 2) hosted by the University of Florida. The Brown and Gold will conclude their non-conference play in the Hoosier Classic (Mar. 7-Mar. 9), hosted by Indiana University.
The 2025 schedule features a significant source of competition for the Broncos, as the Brown and Gold are scheduled to play over 10 contests against Power Four opponents. After the conclusion of non-conference play, WMU will open its Mid-American Conference schedule at the University of Toledo on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
On Friday, March 28, and Saturday, March 29, The Brown and Gold will host Miami University (OH) for their first home series of the season at Ebert Field. One month later, The Brown and Gold will host Ohio University during its annual Alumnae Day doubleheader on Saturday, May 3. To conclude the regular season, the Broncos will honor their senior class on Sunday, May 4, during their Senior Day game against the Bobcats at Ebert Field.
The MAC Tournament will take place in Akron, Ohio at Firestone Stadium from May 7-10. In 2025 the Broncos will look to make back-to-back trips to the MAC Tournament for the first time since the 2018 and 2019 seasons.
