ROME, Ga. – Western Michigan men's tennis senior Anton Arzhankin opens the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Conference Masters singles tournament on Thursday at 1 p.m., with senior Brogan Pierce and freshman Jack Davison opening the doubles tournament at 4 p.m. at the Rome Tennis Center.

After Arzhankin won the MAC Indoor Qualifying Event Singles A Draw, he earned an opening-round bye. The Moscow, Russia, native will take on the winner of Nemanja Stefanovic from Mercer and Nathan Favier from Texas A&M Corpus Christi to try to advance to the Quarterfinals on Friday. The ITA Conference Masters will send four singles competitors on to the NCAA Indoor Championships, with Arzhankin needing to make the semifinals to earn the bid.
Davison and Pierce won the MAC Indoor Qualifying Event Doubles A Draw and will open the Round of 32 against Drake's Benjamin Johnson and Christian Winstead. The ITA Conference Masters will send three doubles teams to the NCAA Indoor Championships
