KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team heads to Michigan State for the 2024 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional Championships, beginning on Thursday.
Four Broncos are set to compete in the Open Singles Draw. Senior Brogan Pierce was given a bye into the second round, while Matej Kajzer, Dimitri Moriarty and Ashton Adesoro are set to compete in the first round. Adesoro plays Thomas Giles from DePaul, Moriarty takes on Carter Pate from Northwestern, and Kajzer will play Pedro Romano Franca from UIC. Pierce will play the winner of Ohio State's JP Day and Cleveland State's Carl Gelitschka.
The group will need to earn two wins in order to advance Main Singles Draw, which begins on Friday. Senior Anton Arzhankin qualified for the main draw must wait for the open draw to conclude before finding out who he will play.
The Doubles Draw will take place on Friday, as well.
