HOME SWEET HOME
Western Michigan has four of its next five contests at home, starting this weekend with a two-match series against Toledo. The Broncos are 6-2 at home in 2024 and have won 18 of their last 19 home contents against MAC opponents.

LAST TIME OUT
The Broncos are coming off of a pair of road victories at Akron, topping the Zips in four last Thursday and then five on Friday. In Friday's five-set victory, Logan Case handed out a career-high 67 assists, setting up Anna Calcagno for a career-high 21 kills and Keona Salesman for 20 kills. Defensively, Andelyn Simkins racked up 34 digs and Madison Merz tied her career high with eight blocks.

ANOTHER MILESTONE FOR CASE
With her career-high 67 assists on Friday night, Logan Case became the first Bronco and third player in Mid-American Conference history to reach 6,000 career assists. The NCAA's active leader with 6,009, she is 44 assists away from moving into second in conference history. After handing out 12.67 assists/set last week, Case was named MAC Setter of the Week for the third time in 2024 on Monday. For the season, Case sits atop the MAC and is second in NCAA Division I with 11.54 assists/set.

MASHING MADISON
Madison Merz continued her recent hot streak last week, putting down double-digit kills in both wins over Akron. The senior has tallied double-digit kills in four straight contests, and has a league-best .417 hitting percentage in MAC play.

DIGGING IN DEFENSIVELY
Fifth-year libero Andelyn Simkins has helped the Broncos rank at the top of the conference in team digs/set with 16.67, which ranks 28th nationally. Individually, Simkins is third in the MAC and 46th in the nation at 4.65 digs/set.

SCOUTING THE ROCKETS
Toledo earned a pair of wins over Miami last weekend and comes to Kalamazoo having won six of its last seven. UT's Taylor Alt, who recently became the conference's all-time leader in career kills, leads the attack with 3.80 kills/set, the third-best mark in the league, while Grace Freiburger is second in the MAC in digs/set, with 4.67.

SERIES HISTORY
Western Michigan owns a 63-17 all-time record against Toledo. The Broncos won all three meetings last year, including sweeping the Rockets in the MAC Tournament Semifinals at University Arena.
