KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team hits the road for the last time in the regular season on Thursday night. The Broncos will be in Toledo to take on the Rockets at 7 PM at Paul Hotmer Field.

Abby Werthman scored both goals in the game, while Jenna Blackburn, Jen Blitchok, Maya Dean and Sammi Glover all tallied assists. Lauren Boafo stopped two shots and earned a shutout.

DYNAMIC DUO
The play of Jen Blitchok and Abby Werthman has propelled Western Michigan into first place in the MAC and into the top 40 of the RPI.

The duo has combined to score 51 of the Broncos' 98 points this season. They have really started to heat up over the last four games.

Thanks to the play of Blitchok and Werthman, WMU is 3-0-1 in its last four games. Blitchok has scored at least one point in all four matches, totaling eight points on two goals and four assists. Werthman has six points in that stretch, tallying three goals.

20 AND COUNTING
Western Michigan has been dominant in the MAC over the last couple of years. The Broncos are unbeaten in their last 20 conference regular season games.

During that stretch, WMU's record is 14-0-6. In that run came the Broncos' first MAC regular season championship in program history.

SCOUTING THE ROCKETS
Toledo enters Thursday's match in a tie for fifth place in the conference at 11 points. The Rockets have won their last two games, with both being shutouts.

WMU leads the all-time series, 18-10-4, including an 11-7-0  record in Toledo. The Broncos have won the last two meetings, including a 3-1 victory last season. Toledo last beat WMU in 2021.
