SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Western Michigan sophomore
Bella Brooks finished in the top 15 as the Western Michigan golf team wrapped up the Fall Season at the Terrier Intercollegiate, hosted by Wofford College at The Carolina Country Club on Tuesday.
Brooks ended the tournament with a 74, her best round of the three. She tied for 13th with a 54-hole total of 232 (+16). Brooks moved up nine total spots from where she had finished the second round. Her final round included one birdie and 14 pars.
As a team, the Broncos finished in seventh place with a 940 (+76). WMU combined to shoot a 313 in the final round, finishing just six rounds outside the top five.
Junior
Megha Vallabhaneni was WMU's second finisher, wrapping things up with a total of 235 and in 22nd place. Freshmen
Saanvi Venkatesh and
Lauren Lupinek finished within one stroke of each other as the third and fourth finishers. Venkatesh shot a final round of 76, her best of the tournament, for a 54-hole total of 240. Lupinek also had her best round with a 79 and finished with a 241. Junior
Jenna Hayes was WMU's final finisher, wrapping up the tournament with a 247.
Western Michigan returns to action in February.
