Men’s Soccer Improves to #12 in TopDrawerSoccer’s Week 10 Rankings

UNITED STATES -- For the third consecutive week, the Western Michigan men's soccer team climbed in TopDrawerSoccer's national rankings. After a 2-0 victory over Green Bay on Tuesday, October 15, the Brown and Gold jumped to #12 in TopDrawerSoccer's Week 10 poll.

With WMU's 2-0 win over Green Bay, the Broncos completed their 25th consecutive game in which they limited opponents to one goal or fewer. In the win, graduate student midfielder Owen Smith and junior defender Emiel Nieuwhof scored for WMU. The victory would notably extend the group's record-breaking unbeaten streak to a 35th game without a loss.

The men's soccer team will return to action on Tuesday, October 22, at Detroit Mercy. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM and the game will stream on ESPN+. The Brown and Gold enter the match with a 16-game winning streak over in-state opponents and have not lost to an in-state foe since September 7, 2018. The feat marks the longest win streak against Michigan colleges in NCAA men's soccer history.
