Women's Soccer Readies for Road Test Against Eastern Michigan

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's soccer team hits the road for a game against Eastern Michigan on Sunday afternoon. The Broncos and Eagles will take the field at 1 PM. 

LAST TIME OUT
Western Michigan dominated Bowling Green from start to finish, earning a 4-0 victory this past Thursday at the WMU Soccer Complex. 

Callie Cunningham notched her first career hat trick and Jen Blitchok added a goal and two assists to spearhead the WMU attack. Goalkeeper Lauren Boafo tallied her fifth shutout of the season. 

BLITCHOK'S BLISTERING PACE
Jen Blitchok has been outstanding throughout the season, currently sitting at 28 points on 12 goals and four assists. Her 28 points are the most in a single season in program history. 

Additionally, with her goal on Thursday, she is now just one away from breaking the program's single-season record. She is top 10 in the MAC in points, goals and assists. 

Earlier this week, she was named to Top Drawer Soccer's top 100 players list. She checked in at No. 57 in the national ranking. 

ROBINSON GETS 100
WMU head coach Lewis Robinson earned his 100th career victory in WMU's 4-0 victory over Bowling Green on Thursday afternoon. 

He tallied 76 wins at Aquinas before taking over at WMU. With the Broncos, he has 24 victories, including 17 in MAC play. 

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
The Eagles are 1-2-2 over their last five games, with the lone win coming at home against Miami on Oct. 6. EMU lost to Ohio this past Thursday. 

The all-time series is controlled by WMU, as the Broncos hold a 17-15-3 advantage. Western Michigan is 6-4 over its last 10 meetings with EMU and has a 9-8-1 record in Ypsilanti. 

Olivia Sipsock has been the go-to option for the Eagles this season, as she leads the team in points, goals and assists. She has 10 points on four goals and two assists in 13 games played. 

In net, Ella Holland has started every game, boasting a 5-5-3 record, 0.85 goals against average and .831 save percentage. She has made 54 saves and has six shutouts in 13 starts.
