Broncos Ranked No. 14 in Nation

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – After grabbing two points in a series with Colorado College this past weekend, the Western Michigan hockey team was able to remain in the top-15 of the national polls.

In the USA Hockey/The Rink Live poll, the Broncos checked in at No. 14. The USCHO poll voters had Western Michigan at No. 15 this week. WMU has been ranked in every poll so far this season, reaching as high as No. 9.

Outside of WMU, the NCHC also had North Dakota, Denver, St. Cloud State, Colorado College and Omaha ranked in the top 20. The NCHC is one of two conferences with six teams ranked in this week's national polls.

The Broncos will hit the road this week for a matchup with Denver. WMU claimed a series win over the Pioneers back in December. Friday's series opener is set for 9 p.m. ET at Magness Arena.

This season, WMU has been celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Bronco Varsity Hockey, which has been commemorated in a variety of ways, including a special 50th Anniversary logo at center ice, special in-game tributes throughout the season, and a special Alumni Weekend for Bronco Hockey this past weekend. In addition, every season ticket holder has received a special 50th Anniversary puck to commemorate this season.
