KALAMAZOO, Mich. - Western Michigan University Football team will return to Waldo Stadium on Saturday, September 30
th as it is set to take on MAC Rival Ball State. Kick-off is slated for 3:30pm.
With the Broncos set to take on the Cardinals on the gridiron, Western Michigan Athletics and Campus Activities Board (CAB) have partnered up to bring
Bryce Vine as the headliner for the Tailgate Concert at the 2
nd Annual Buster's Block Party.
Western Michigan Athletics is calling on students, fans, and the extended Western Michigan community to arrive early to tailgate, enjoy the concert, and cheer on the Broncos to victory.
GAME DAY SCHEDULE
11:30am Buster's Block Party & Tailgate Lots Open
Buster's Block Party is a free pregame event for Bronco fans and students, featuring interactive fan activities, entertainment, giveaways, and concluding with the concert. WMU Student Radio Station, WIDR will be providing entertainment from the main stage, leading up to the tailgate concert by Bryce Vine. Fans are also encouraged to stop by and interact with Bronco Sport Partners, Uber Eats, Revel And Roll, Michigan Army National Guard, Kalamazoo/Battle Creek International Airport, The Bronco Club Townhomes and Arcadia Grove Apartments.
Buster's Block Party will be held in Lot 13, which is located across the street from the Student Recreation Center and Read Fieldhouse.
The lot will be closed for parking and cars, and can only be accessed on foot the day of the game.
In addition to Lot 13, all tailgate lots open at 11:30am, including the official student tailgate
Lots 16 and 94 which are located directly behind Read Fieldhouse. All lots are paid lots, except for the donor lots around Waldo Stadium. Fans parking in those lots must have an official donor parking pass.

free shuttle bus will begin running when tailgate lots open. Fans looking to attend the concert should park at Lawson Ice Arena. The shuttle's pregame route to Waldo Stadium will include an extra stop by Lot 13 for Buster's Block Party. The shuttle will run after the game as well to return fans to Lawson Arena.
12:50 pm Bronco Walk
Fans are encouraged to come out and cheer as the football team makes its way to the stadium during the Bronco Walk. Cheer on the team as they walk from the NEW Student Union along Lots 94 and 16 towards the Bronco Statue in front of Read Fieldhouse.
1:30 pm Tailgate Concert by Bryce Vine
Bryce Vine will be the headline performer for the tailgate concert. Vine released his debut EP Lazy Fair in 2014 which had two hits, "Sour Patch Kids" and "Guilty Pleasure". Other popular songs include "Drew Barrymore", "La La Land" and his latest single "Margot Robbie". He is currently touring through the Midwest. He is scheduled to take the tailgate concert stage around 1:30pm.
2:00 pm Waldo Stadium Gates Open
All gates to Waldo Stadium open 90 minutes before kickoff. The first 1,500 WMU Students will receive a Straw Cowboy Hat courtesy of The Bronco Club Townhomes. Students and fans who have digital tickets should remember to load tickets in their phone's digital wallet and have their phone charged and ready for ticket scanners upon entry.

Clear Bag Policy
To ensure the safety of everyone in attendance at the games, Western Michigan will continue the security policy at Waldo Stadium of clear bags. Consistent with best practices as recommended by Department of Homeland Security, the size and type of bags allowed for entry will be regulated.
While fans may find it necessary to bring bags into Waldo Stadium the following guidelines apply:
- Bags should be clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 12" X 6" X 12" in size.
- Clear bags may have a logo on one side so long as said logo does not exceed 4" X 3.4".
- Small clutch bags with or without a handle or strap that do not exceed 4.5" X 6.5" or approximately the size of a hand.
- One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag etc.).
- Exceptions will be made for medical items or a diaper bag (with small child) needed after a proper inspection by security at the gate before entry.

'Band Day'
Nearly 400 students from 67 area schools will be joining the Bronco Marching Band as part of Band Day, and perform with the band throughout the game.
Concessions
Kalamazoo Concessions will once again be the official concessionaire for all home WMU Athletic Events. Both cash and credit card payments will be accepted at all stands.
Alcohol Sales
Alcohol will be served at Waldo Stadium this year. To purchase, patrons must bring a valid government issued ID
and receive WMU ID check wristband, which can be found at one of four ID check stations located on both sides of the stadium (inside gates 1 & 2 on the Stadium Dr. side, above sections B & F on the press box side)
Fans can purchase beer, wine, and seltzer at designated concession stands throughout the stadium as well as the John Gill Club. Fan will have a variety of options, including Modelo, Miller Lite, Bell's Two Hearted Ale, Oberon, LaBatt, Michelob Ultra, Coors Lite, White Claw Black Cherry, Graham and Fisk Sparkling Moscato, and St. Joe Red Wine.
Alcohol sales will end at the start of the fourth quarter. Fans will not be allowed to leave the stadium with alcoholic beverages.
