CINCINNATI – Western Michigan golf's Natalie Samdal turned in a top-15 performance as the Broncos wrapped up the Jennifer Duke Invitational hosted by the University of Cincinnati on Tuesday.
Samdal finished off the tournament with a 76 for a 54-hole total of 222 (+12), tying for 13th. Samdal had 27 pars and tied for third in the field with nine birdies.
As a team, WMU finished in ninth place with a 917 (+77). Western Kentucky won the tournament, with Marshall and Xavier rounding out the top three. WKU's Catie Craig was the individual medalist after shooting a 206 (-4).
Sophomore Megha Vallabhaneni was the Broncos' second finisher, shooting a 229 (+19). Kailey White ended up with a 236 after shooting a 71 in the final round, while Jenna Hayes finished one stoke behind her and Alissa Fish rounded out WMU's five with a 239.
Western Michigan is back in action next Monday at the Brittany Kelly Cardinal Classic hosted by Ball State.
