CINCINNATI – Western Michigan golf's
Natalie Samdal sits tied for eighth place and just one stroke out of fifth after two rounds of the Jennifer Duke Invitational hosted by Cincinnati on Monday.
Samdal opened with a strong round of 71, her second-lowest round as a Bronco, and finished with a 75 for a 36-hole total of 146 (+6). The graduate student was tied for third on the day with two birdies.
As a team, the Broncos have some work to do in Tuesday's final round after finishing with a combined score of 616 (+56) on the day, currently in 11th place.
Sophomore
Megha Vallabhaneni was WMU's second finisher on the day and is tied for 24th with a score of 151 (+11). Fellow sophomore Jenna Hays shot aa 156 (+16) and was followed up by
Alissa Fish at 163 and
Kailey White at 165.
WMU wraps up the tournament on Tuesday.
