Golf Heads to Cincinnati for the Jennifer Duke Invitational

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan golf team heads to Cincinnati, Ohio and the Losantiville Country Club for the Jennifer Duke Invitational, hosted by the University of Cincinnati on Monday and Tuesday.
 
The Broncos make up the 10-team field that competes in 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. WMU is joined by the host Bearcats, Akron, Arkansas State, Dayton, FIU, Ohio, Marshall, Western Kentucky and Xavier. The course measures out to 5,824 yards and plays as a par 70. This is the first time the Broncos have competed at the tournament.

Western Michigan opened the 2023-24 season last Sunday at the A-Ga-Ming Invitational hosted by Central Michigan. The Broncos finished in sixth place and graduate student Alissa Fish was the team's top finisher, tying for seventh place. Fish turned in a final-round score of 69 to rocket up the leaderboard 13 places, with just the ninth round below 70 in program history. She went on to be named MAC Co-Women's Golfer of the Week.
 
Western Michigan is back in action next Monday at the Brittany Kelly Cardinal Classic, hosted by Ball State.
