TEMPE, Ariz. – The Western Michigan men's tennis team earned accolades from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, with Anton Arzhankin, Jackson Boone, Arjun Honnappa, Benjamin George, Fyyn Lohse and Ferdinand Schlueter earning ITA Scholar-Athlete Honors. The Broncos also earned the ITA All-Academic Team Award.
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.50 for the current academic year. To earn the team award, a team must have a GPA of 3.20 or above.
Honnappa boasts the team's highest GPA with a 4.0, while right behind him is Lohse at 3.98, Schlueter at 3.97, George at 3.96 and Boone at 3.94. Kuszynski holds down a 3.72 GPA and was named Academic All-MAC along with the entire WMU team. Kuszynski. George, Arzhankin and Lohse were also selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team.
