CLEVELAND, Ohio -- The Mid-American Conference announced the 2023 Outdoor Track and Field Academic All-MAC Team on Wednesday, with a total of 230 student-athletes named to this year's squad, including eight from Western Michigan. 

The Academic All-MAC honor is for student-athletes who have excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. Freshmen and first-year transfers are not eligible for the award. 

The Broncos were represented by: Claira Gilchrist (Environmental & Sustainability Studies), Delaney Knoll (Accountancy), Lily Kucharek (Digital Marketing and eCommerce), Maggie Raab (Accountancy), Ashley Shipps (Elementary Professional Education), Paisley Sipes (Art), Brooke Soper (Digitial Media and Journalism) and Katelyn Spooner (Accountancy).
