Barclay Ties for 10th in Hawaii

'EWA BEACH, Hawaii – Western Michigan senior Haley Barclay turned in a top-10 finish at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational, hosted by Hawaii, on Tuesday.

Barclay shot a 224 (+8) after final round of 71 to match her 54-hole career best that she set back at the Ball State Cardinal Classic in September. She finished with 30 pars and was tied for the tournament lead with 10 birdies. Barclay competed as an individual, with her score not factoring in for the Broncos.

Western Michigan's third and final round was its lowest of the tournament, shooting a 305 for a 54-hole total of 953 (+89), finishing in 11th place.

Freshman Jenna Hayes was WMU's second finisher and had her best round of the tournament on the final day, shooting a 73 to give her a 229 (+13). Freshman Megha Vallabhaneni was WU's third finisher with a 240 (+21) and was followed by Alissa Fish, who finished with a 242 (+26). Allyson Barth shot a 250 (+34) and was followed by Natalie Samdal at 252 (+36).

Western Michigan trades one beautiful destination for another, heading to Hilton Head, S.C. for the Low Country Intercollegiate March 17-19.
