RIO VERDE, Ariz. -- Western Michigan senior Alissa Fish has moved into the top 15 as the WMU golf team wrapped up the second round of the Rio Verde Invitational at Rio Verde Country Club's Quail Run Course on Saturday.
Fish shot a 73 to move her up to a five-way tie for 13th with a 36-hole total of 149 (+5). She had 13 pars on the day to go with two birdies.
The Broncos sit tied for 11th with Oakland after shooting a 311 and a 36-hole total of 614 (+38). Xavier continues to lead and shot the lowest team round of the weekend so far with a 289 and a two-day total of 582 (+6). The Musketeers' Emma McMyler and Akron's Daphne Von Son sit tied for first place at 144 (E).
Freshman Megha Vallabhaneni was WMU's second finisher on the day and sits tied for 23rd with a 151 after shooting 77 on Saturday. Classmate Jenna Hayes shot an 81 for a 36-hole total of 155, while Haley Barclay and Natalie Samdal are both tied with 161's.
