CLEVELAND – For the second time in 2023, senior setter Logan Case of the Western Michigan volleyball team has been named the MAC Female Scholar Athlete of the Week.
 
A French major who boasts a 4.00 GPA, Case handed out 44 assists in last Monday's MAC Volleyball Championship match against No. 6 seed Bowling Green to help Western Michigan win the contest in five sets to capture its seventh Mid-American Conference Tournament title and punch its ticket to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2014.
 
Already named the MAC Player and Setter of the Year, Case's efforts earned her the 2023 Mid-American Conference Championship Tournament MVP award and her third career MAC Championship All-Tournament Team nod.
 
Case and the Broncos have won 20 consecutive matches heading into the NCAA Tournament, which begins for the Brown and Gold on Thursday against No. 7 seed Auburn at Louisville's KFC Yum! Center. First serve is slated for 4 pm on ESPN+.
