Sing Awarded Second MVC Offensive Player Of The Week Honor

MISSOURI – The Missouri Valley Conference announced its players of the week Tuesday afternoon. After his noteworthy performance this past week, forward Dylan Sing was awarded his second career MVC Offensive Player of the Week honor.

During the last two games, Sing scored the game-winners in Western Michigan's 1-0 win over Wright State and 1-0 victory over #20 UIC. Sing has now scored a goal in six stright matches, extending the Western Michigan record for consecutive games with a goal scored (previously held by Brandon Bye (2014-17)). Entering this weekend, Sing is in a three player tie with Tom Oatly (2004-07) and Mosen Khani (1979-82) for the fourth most goals scored in program history.

Today, Sing added another accolade to his resume for the week: Yesterday, the scoring machine captured the College Soccer News Men's National Player of the Week honor.

Overall, the Broncos have gone unbeaten in nine straight matches and are one game away from matching last year's best unbeaten streak of 10 games, in which they recorded nine wins and one tie from Thursday, September 1, 2022 - Sunday, October 9, 2022.

Sing and the rest of the Brown and Gold return to action on Saturday, October 7, in a road matchup at University of Evansville with a 4:00 PM start.
