Jonathan Stout has been named the Missouri Valley Conference men's soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year in a vote by league sports information directors.
Stout headlines a group of 35 student-athletes named to the 2025 MVC men's soccer scholar-athlete team as announced by the conference office on Tuesday morning. Along with Stout, the Broncos have a league-high six players named to the Scholar-Athlete Team. Also, on the team for WMU are junior defender

Henrik Boer, senior forward
Connor Burkett, redshirt sophomore defender
Christian Shannon, and sophomore midfielder
Braden Stevanovic.
Over the regular season, Stout was a league leader in goals with five scores through 17 matches. Stout ended the regular season as seventh in the Valley in goals and sixth in shots with 36 in 17 matches. Stout was also one of only two players with the Brown and Gold to start in every match during the season. He was also named to the All-MVC Second Team at the end of the season. Stout currently holds a 4.00 GPA while pursuing a degree in university studies.
Arpachinda was named to the Scholar-Athlete team after being Western Michigan's other play to start in every match of the 2025 regular season. Through 17 matches Arpachinda scored three goals and assisted on three others for nine points on the season. He was also named to the All-MVC Second Team along with Stout. Arpachinda has a 3.71 GPA and is majoring in architecture and design.
Boer played in 12 matches for the Broncos during the regular season while registering an assist against Adrian. Boer is majoring in sports management and has a 3.90 GPA heading into the spring semester.
Burkett appeared in all but one match through the 2025 regular season for WMU and started in 15 of those. While the senior only registered a point in the regular season, he was a stalwart contributor for the Brown and Gold, getting balls into key places for other teammates to score on. Burkett has a 3.81 GPA in product design and will graduate this spring.
Shannon appeared in all 17 matches with Western Michigan in the regular season and started in 16. Anchoring the back line, Shannon spent a whopping 1,400 minutes on the pitch while scoring one goal and assisting on another. He was also named to the All-MVC Second Team with Arpachinda and Stout along with making the MVC All-Tournament Team. Shannon has a 3.98 GPA in business analytics heading into the second half of his sophomore year.
Stevanovic was a key bench player for the Broncos, appearing in all 17 matches and starting in 10 through the regular season. He scored his first goal with WMU against Adrian while assisting on two other goals that match. Stevanovic also recorded an assist in matches against Detroit Mercy and Bradley for a season total of six points. Stevanovic has a 4.00 GPA in finance going into the final semester of his sophomore year.
