Men’s Soccer Soars To #17 In Latest College Soccer News Poll

TALLAHASSEE, FL. -- College Soccer News released its top 30 poll for the week ending October 22, Monday morning. After completing a 2-0 week, with wins over Northern Illinois University and #10 Missouri State, the Broncos saw their largest jump in the College Soccer News rankings this season, moving from last week's 26th rank to a season best 17th in week nine's poll.

During Western Michigan's victory over NIU on Wednesday, October 18, Dylan Sing and Tom Cooklin would lead the Broncos to victory. Sing would tally two goals and one assist in the win, while Cooklin scored a goal himself.

Last night, the Brown and Gold knocked off #10 Missouri State 2-1 on the road to claim sole possession of the Missouri Valley Conference lead. During the game, Charlie Sharp and Cooklin would score the two goals for the Brown and Gold enroute to the program's 14th straight game without a loss. With his goal yesterday, Cooklin set a personal best three game goal scoring streak during his time with the Brown and Gold.

The Broncos will return home for Senior Day on Friday, October 27, versus Belmont with an early 3:30 PM kickoff. Live Stats and livestream information is available under the men's soccer schedule.
